Happy New Year!  I hope you have had a wonderfully relaxing, family & love filled break.  We certainly did, we loved seeing all our family members plus meeting up with dear friends.  Days spent taking long walks in the fields, interspersed with great food and cuddles on the sofa.  IT HAS BEEN BLISS!
I am sorry to have not blogged for a couple of weeks… I really enjoyed dropping off blog land during this time and focussing on myself and my dear ones.  But this new week rolls around and here I am again once more, it feels good to be back.
During these few weeks away, I have had time to reflect on 2014, on how it has been a particularly hard one.  Dan has lost his job.  I have been unwell it seems for months and months. And money or lack of is always an issue.
But saying all of that I am feeling really positive about 2015.  I love January, that feeling of endless possibilites, like a blank page in a brand new notebook or diary… let’s write in it!  Let’s fill up these pages of days and months with wonderful things.  Adventures, to travel abroad, to show my boys the wonders of foreign lands.  I want to build a new future for Dan and I, perhaps to work together on a few projects.  Above all I want to write, and write.  Write about my passions, about flowers and plants, about our adventures and things that make my heart leap!
My word for this year is BLOOM.  I wish to flower, to turn my face to the sun and to live the fullest blousiest life possible.  To bloom like a large hydrangea head.
So here’s to a fresh BLOOMING start!

  • Great word Lou, I think you’ll do brilliantly. Blooming marvellous! Antonia x

  • love, love, love your theme for this year. bloom. just absolute perfection.
(and I may have to steal it and add it along with my new year’s word “balance”
-“balance and bloom” sounds so much better together me thinks). xo

  • I think that’s a brilliant word for you, last year was particularly difficult for me too yet I start 2015 feeling full of hope….I’m looking forward to seeing your journey this year Lou, this is always a lovely place to spend some time :) xxx

  • Nothing better than having “me” time and relaxing and seeing loved ones. Sounds like you had a well deserved break.
Good luck got the new year…I’m one for fresh starts…I hope this year brings you everything you wish for, that you achieve your goals and ambitions…have fun.
    All the best,
