For this month’s Styling the Seasons, I’ve kept it simple. A small arrangement of glass bottles in various green hues and tiny sprigs of spring blooms.
February, to me, is all about survival. To get myself through this cold dark month. Making sure that I am kind to myself, to exercise, to reward myself with a bunch of delicious blooms. Banishing those winter blues. Spring is just around the corner….
So I’ve made a cheery display of pretty blue muscari (my favourite little flower this time of year), paper whites and pink wax flowers. I can’t help but add a feather, this is fast becoming a bit of a signature feature in my styling arrangements. The beautiful little book is a book of poems called – the Spring time Fairies book, lent to me by my florist friend Xanthe of Ivory Flowers. All these blooms came from her, she is proper brilliant and if you are in the Bristol area you should go seek out her lovely shop.
So what does February mean to you?
P.S. If you would like to join in with Styling the Seasons, all you need to do is style a surface in your home to represent what that month means to you. Share a shot of your styled surface and use the hashtag #stylingtheseasons. As part of of Katy and Lottie’s styling the season collaboration project.
