Summer dreaming…

M is for mediation 1

Summer is nearly upon us (the School holidays that is).  Each year we love to plan adventures, days out, visit festivals and have fun in the SUN!.

This year we are looking forward to:

Camp Bestival

Yep, our third year at this wild and wonderful family festival.  There will be music, dancing, learning new skills, fireworks and craft.  My two absolutely love this EPIC festival.  I need to get my stamina up for it, as it is FULL ON!  You can read our past festival experiences here.

Welsh House

Off over to Wales for my birthday weekend. To stay in this pretty Welsh cottage.  Great food, wild walks and star gazing.  We love Wales, our heart is firmly set in those rolling hills.

Just So Festival

Oh yes, this festival is a marvellous romp in the woods, and a pure delight.  Children and adults can live out their childhood dreams here.  A beautifully curated festival set in Cheshire.

We love to camp, but not when its cold! No, I am a fair weather camper me.  Needing camp fires, marshmallows, and toasty beds.  We do love to camp with friends, roughing it wild in fields and not minding the composting loos at all!

Further a field

This year, we are hoping to follow our hearts and travel to parts of Europe.  I would love to speak French with my boys in a market.  Walk through cobbled streets in search of a pizzeria in Italy.  And even perhaps, take my family to India… oh to dream. To show them all the places I visited and fell in love with when I was a young traveller.  India is in my heart always and forever.

So, what are your plans this Summer?

  • What lovely plans. I’ve been wanting to go to the Just So Festival for many years. Maybe next year will be our time? Weirdly I just put my summer list up on the blog yesterday but I’ve only just read yours today. (I hadn’t read any of my bloglovin list since last week and yesterday morning I checked to find I had 102 unread. How can that be?! Made it to 52 to read so far and 4 days behind. I really need to stop being inspired by so many blogs!!)

  • You’re almost making me miss the UK! Our plan for the summer to to explore a bit more of the area surrounding the mountains we are living in, the temptation to stay where we are, eating and swimming, is strong!

  • First time commentor here – love your plans for the summer, I only hope the weather gets better. My daughter is going to uni in the autumn, so we are lucky to have her on our hols this summer, so I we are looking forward to the end of exams and lazy days in the sun and mooching round markets with her.
