A few weeks ago, I sped up to London to stay overnight at the Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch. The following day I was due to attend Blogtacular, a blogging conference, so an overnight stay in London was needed.
Arriving at the hotel I was immediately thrown into the beautiful world of pair backed designer living. A large open foyer with bare bricked walls, large fireplaces and even larger chandeliers, giving the space a feeling of luxe grandeur. On the walls hung original art work and in the bars and restaurant were many comfortable spaces to rest and drink a cocktail or two.
I was due to share my room with my good friend Cathy, who was en route, so I spent a little time to get used to my surroundings whilst waiting for her. Our room was on the top floor, accessible via a private lift. At the top, I found my way to my room and discovered a beautifully decorated space.
Black, grey, yellow and gold accents. Small, but large enough for the two of us to comfortably sleep for the night.
The room was fully equipped with an en suite shower room, with delicious smelling toiletries. A chaise to lounge on to watch TV if you wish, a sideboard which housed tea & coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and many many plugs to charge all of my devices (a bloggers dream!).
That evening we showered and left the hotel to meet up with friends and fellow bloggers at the Blogtacular evening meal. Upon returning the hotel was a buzz with life. Local Londoners enjoying the restaurant and bar areas. Exhausted and a tiny bit jealous, we headed to bed for good sleep and rest in preparation for the busy day ahead.
The next morning, after a great nights sleep, we woke early and discovered our breakfast ‘bag’ hanging on the hook outside our room. Inside was a tub of granola and yoghurt, a bottle of OJ and a banana – perfect for those with a busy schedule and little time to stop for breakfast.
The Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch really lives up to its fame. It is beautiful, stylish and uber cool. Thank you for having us to stay, it was so much fun and we will be coming again soon!
