Donating to PDSA – a little bit of Littlegreenshed…

As a child, I grew up in an old cottage in a sleepy village in Somerset, surrounded by fields. Our house had out buildings and acres of land.  It was a pretty perfect place to live as an eight year old, our rural life, was shared with a menagerie of animals.  Three cats, one dog, several rabbits, horses in the field behind and sheep in the garden (when they escaped, quite regularly from a neighbouring field).

Moving on to now, I live in a small Victorian terrace in Bristol.  A world away from that country life back then.  We don’t own a single pet, although there is much talk of getting a cat, one day!

I love animals and nature, hey this is why I started my #natureinthehome project all those years ago, to share the joys with my sons. So when PDSA got in touch with me, asking if I would donate something to their charity auction, I didn’t hesitate. I may not be a pet owner, but I would like to be, and if we did get a cat, it would be a rescued one from a home.

PDSA are teaming up with Senditnow to collect special items from a group of bloggers, which will then be auctioned by the PDSA to raise money to help them help animals.

So what did I choose?  Well, my love of nature is probably what I am best known for, so I chose my Bold & Noble print – trees around Britain.  I love this print and it has been hung in my lounge since Dan gave it to me for my birthday many years ago.  It has recently been featured on Design Sponge in my house tour too!  A very famous print, indeed. I hope at the auction it raises some money for a good cause.

Senditnow, delivered me a box in which I added my print, along with all the items from the other bloggers taking part.  Senditnow picked it up from my home, and off it went.  Follow it’s journey around the country on Twitter via the hashtag #GoodDelivery.  I can’t wait to see what goes in the ‘Box of Good’. is a parcel delivery service which provides you with one low price to anywhere in the UK up to 30kg.
