Travel – A collaboration with Canopy & Stars and some news!

canopy and stars littlegreenshed road trip 2015

The car is packed, the house is cleaned, passports are safely stored in my bag and we are ready to go. Well almost.  I’m just popping in to let you know more about our Road Trip and where we are staying.

You may remember a few weeks ago when I wrote about the #cscollective at Harptree Court?  Well, we whilst we are in France we are staying at two of Canopy & Stars beautiful properties.  YES!  I couldn’t be happier.

Firstly, the Star Treehouse. Yes, the boys are desperate to try this one out.  What the website says:

Whether you think they look more like pine cones or butterfly cocoons, the unique treehouses at Cap’Cabane look right at home in their natural woodland surroundings, dotted amongst the ferns and heather. In fact, all the architecture has been inspired by nature, from the pinewood exteriors to the wooden walkways and terraces.

Take a dip in the natural pool (remember to bring your swimming costume!), go orienteering in the woods, or just follow the stream and see where it takes you. Each treehouse has its own compost loo at ground level, below the bedroom, and the showers and cooking facilities are all in a communal hut not more than 150 yards’ stroll away through the woodland village.

Sounds perfect doesn’t it?

A few days later we will be staying in Anisa Yurt

The ancient apple variety, Anisa, first dropped onto the floor of The Currans’ farmhouse orchard five years ago and gave the first yurt its name. At Anisa’s core is a majestic black and green bed for two, with two single futon beds on either side. Solar lanterns perched atop tree trunk bed stools mean you can read and tell stories late into the night. Beech trees are the canopy for your open air hot shower that sits outside your private wash cabin with flushing loo. Morning, noon and night, you can perfect the art of camp cooking in the al fresco kitchenette or on the camp fire.

We cannot wait to stay at both of these wonderful places.  You can follow our road trip adventures on Instagram and Twitter on our family hash #LGSAdventures2015.
