Travel 2016 // Cruising the Fjords…

One of my many travel goals for next year, is to visit Scandinavia, and in particular cruise the frozen fjords. I was talking to my pal Laura at the weekend about how our own photographic growth NEEDS to have this landscape, our Instagram is crying out for it.  Think; tall pine trees, frozen mountains and log cabins.

Ahem.  Back to travelling.  I’ve long hankered to see the Northern Lights, to visit Copenhagen and see snow covered landscape.  I want to feel the proper cold, immerse myself into the Scandi culture and see those lakes and mountains.

Last April we were super lucky to travel on the Anthem of the Seas, and it completely changed our perspective on cruising.  No longer a holiday for the older generation, but the modern cruise ship is most definitely designed for all.

My two loved the pools, the sporting activities, the Xbox room!  They often ask if we can go back to cruising one day.  Of course my darlings – but I get to pick the location!! :)

Scandivia, Sweden, Norway and Denmark have some of my most favourite instagrammers.  Sharing images of frozen landscapes, wooden cabins, roaring log fires and summer houses with floral wallpaper and amazing white interiors.

Perhaps a cruise in this region, stopping off to sample the scandi style will be all that I need.  Here’s hoping.

This is a collaborative post.
