Travel Awards 2015 // Best location…

canopy and stars harptree court 6

As that annoying TV programme says ‘location, location, location’ is everything.  Yep, no matter how gorgeous the pad is, if it’s in the back of beyond or next to a retail park it is just not going to cut it. (unless you are in to that kind of thing).

Our top three best location holiday destinations for 2015 are:

3.  The Artist Residence

In central London, Pimlico, surrounded by beautiful Georgian buildings and secluded parks.  A stones throw from parliament and the busy shops of Oxford Street, this brilliant hotel is possibly the best place I’ve stayed in London.  It also won London hotel of the year this year too! Book now for a couples night away.

The chicken shed

2.  The Chicken Shed

Nestled against a wooded hillside in the Wye Valley, the Chicken Shed is our dream bolt hole.  Only 45 minutes drive from home, but a world away from our City home life. The Chicken Shed combines uber cool interiors, cabin like exterior and views to die for.  The Wye Valley stretches between the Cotswolds and Monmouthshire, so expect market towns and castles in this beautiful part of the world.  You can book your winter escape here.

harptree court treehouse

1. Harptree Court, Treehouse

What can I say.  Stylish, chic and in a treehouse!  Under floor heating, a copper bath, views of the tree tops.  Silence!  A strictly grown ups only pad, set on a beautiful estate (once home of the Great British Bake Off), this tree house is the ultimate in location, glamping and sophistication.  Book through Canopy & Stars.

What we loved:

  • The sound of nothing but birdsong
  • Privacy
  • That copper bath
  • Drinks on the sun drenched balcony and watching squirrels
  • The beautiful walled garden
  • grown ups only!
