Travel // Best Family Holiday 2015…

M is for mediation 1 sqHolidays are all about spending time with family.  We look forward to it all year don’t we?  2015 has given us many family adventures, each of us loving certain places for different reasons. With this in mind I have taken into account all of our opinions and needs, so here are our top three:

Berridon Farm - Littlegreenshed blog 5

3.  Berridon Farm, Devon

A working farm, with a series of safari style tents.  Beautiful details inside with masses of space outside for the kids to roam free.

What we loved:

  • Cooking our supper on the log stove
  • Collecting the freshly laid eggs in the coop
  • Listening to the Owl at night
  • The owners home cooked chicken pie
  • Running free & playing cricket until it got dark
  • The Berridon Farm newspaper

You can book Berridon Farm here.

2. The Hobbit House, Wales

Glamping at it’s best.  A ‘hobbit’ house with all the home comforts.  We loved this place because of it’s location, the view from the bed and the luxe interior.

What we loved:

  • Feeding the horse in the field behind
  • Crabbing on the harbour wall in Newquay
  • Seeing dolphins out at sea
  • The wellie walk around the farm and discovering the stream
  • Curled up in bed in the morning, watching the clouds race across the valley below
  • It’s a hobbit house!

1. Club Magic Life, Fuerteventura

It has to be this one.  Visiting Fuerteventura last February for the First Choice ‘all you can’ campaign, was amazing.  The first time the boys had been abroad, first time on a plane, the first time Dan and I had experience an all inclusive holiday.  It was epic.  The boys had the best time.

What we loved:

  • All inclusive, the boys loved taking care of themselves
  • The beach – that white sand and azure sea
  • The pools – which pool to choose
  • Kids club, learning a new sport every day
  • The excursions, visiting the volcano
  • first plane ride

You can book Club Magic Life through First Choice Holidays.

I shall be back later with more of our favourites, including best location and best glamping.
