Travel // Croatia and it’s coastline…

littlegreenshed blog - travel croatia

You may remember my post last week discussing my travel bucket list, well Croatia was up there in my European destination wish list.  A few of my friends have holidayed there over the past few years, and raved about the beautiful coastline and charming villages.

I have this little idea that I would love to hire a small boat and potter up and down the coast, stopping off at secluded fishing villages, eating fresh food at local waterside cafe’s, drinking glasses of crisp white wine in the shade of an olive tree. (someone may have to sail my boat back for me after that!)

I want to see my two boys splash about in calm turquoise seas, eat shell fish for supper and watch their blonde hair lighten in the sun.  Dan and I want to truly relax and saviour a chilled out, quality family holiday.

One can dream eh?

The Croatian tourist board are encouraging people to choose Croatia for their family holiday this year, and have come up with a neat way to choose what type of holiday suits you best.  Are you an adventurer, family biased or after a bit of luxury.  Either way it’s fun to find out in their little quiz.  Apparently I am a Family Organiser! Everyone who completes the quiz will be in with a chance of winning a 7 day holiday to Croatia for two! The quiz ends TODAY!  Get going!

  • we spent my 50th birthday in Rovinj ten years ago. It was a beautiful place with a coastal walk, wooded areas and a lovely harbour.
On the 13th August all the artists came out of their studios and lined the streets with their artwork. We bought to fabulous canvasses which now hang proudly in the hallway and a nice reminder of our time there.
    Hope you enjoy it too
