Since my stay in the beautiful Riad, La Maison, in Marrakesh back in June (yes I still need to blog about it!) – I have been absolutely obsessed with Moroccan cement tiles, OBSESSED! In the riad, Nicole the owner, had had these tiles laid in the upstairs corridors that snaked around the open courtyard. Each time I walked upstairs to the roof terrace I would swoon – wishing that they were mine.
I mean, honestly, will you look at this place! See what I mean? I must write up a post about it this week to share, before I share all about our France adventures. Anyway, back to the floor tiles. With inspiration like these, I began to search and pin beautiful interiors on a new pin board: Interiors – tiles.
I am planning to have a little update in our kitchen. We originally renovated it nine years ago, and it’s starting to look a little tired. So first things first, I would love to swap our faux (porcelain) slate tiles, and replace them with something a little like the mood board above. Oh how beautiful would it look!
I also want to change some of the standard cupboards into pull out drawers as they are easier to use. And finally replace our standard metal sink with a white ceramic one, plus a new tap. Small changes, but will hopefully have a huge impact. I can’t wait to get started!
