Following on from my previous post about embracing Autumn, I must admit that one of the great joys about the cooler weather is to get out those blankets and make a cosy home.
The Danish word Hygge is banded around A LOT at this time of year, and without wanting to jump on the blanket snuggled Hygge bandwagon along with every other blogger! I do think it is important to prepare the home for the winter months. Those Danes do know a thing or two about making the most of Winter.
At home, we are lucky to have a log burning stove in our lounge, and this plays a huge part in our seasonal decor. But what about the rest? Where does one find inspiration?
The Autumn Fair 2016 is a great place to start. Launched in September 1990, Autumn Fair is now celebrated as the season’s number one wholesale gift and home trade show. With over 1400 exhibitors packed into the NEC, the fair has become a must-attend event for UK and international shop and boutique owners.
Although shopping at the fair is not an option to the general public, you can however, use it as a fabulous tool for inspiration. If you are looking to re-decorate, the fair offers a chance to see next seasons trends or if you are a shop/online business, or if you are wanting to set up your own boutique, the Autumn Fair is for you.
Big names in interior design will be exhibiting like Abigail Ahern, but can also find inspiration from European stores too like Morso stoves and Hubsch – there is something for everyone.
Not only that, but there is a large list of inspirational speakers and workshops to help your business too. Register online for a FREE 15 minute consultation on all manner of great business tips, such as a ‘Social Media Health Check‘, ‘SEO for your business‘, ‘How to list successfully online‘. With a wealth of knowledge on hand to take your business to the next level.
This years keynote speaker is Jo Malone – who will be sharing her brand building journey, the highs and lows of starting all over again, her entrepreneurial insights and finally how she intends to change the way we wear fragrance…for a second time!
The Autumn Fair is seen as London Fashion Week for the Home & Gift sector – so it’s a place to be if you are into interiors! I only wish I was going, but I have a prior work commitment – I shall be there next year!
