During the colder month’s I crave soup. Searching for delicious and quick soup recipes on hand to whizz up in my blender and to eat whilst I work! This detox Coconut and Broccoli soup is creamy, packs in the green nutrients (which we are all trying to eat, right?) and has an added kick from the hot chilli.

This soup is full of nutrients, aids detox, has loads of greens, plus if you add seeds to the top it includes your Omega 6 intake too.  Plus, my boys love it – so win all round!


  • Finely chop the onion and red chilli. Heat the coconut oil in a large pot and sauté the onions with a pinch of salt for 5 minutes until golden. Add the garlic and ginger and sautée for 2 minutes.
  • While this is cooking, chop up the broccoli then throw it in with the onion mix. Stir for 30 seconds with a pinch of salt then pour over the coconut milk and veggie stock. Simmer for 20 minutes(with the lid off to retain the vibrant green).  Add the corriander & then blend until smooth.
  • Top with the remaining fresh herbs, nuts and seeds for added omega goodness!
