July babies are the best babies // hint it’s my birthday!

Littlegreenshed blog birthday wish list

July! The month of heat waves, stormy nights and thunder claps. School term endings, the start of the summer slow down, boozy pimms in the garden whilst watching Wimbledon… and, and, most importantly its my BIRTHDAY month.

So, if you are feeling you want to celebrate my birthday with me, buy yourself a gift or one for me if you are feeling flush – I do accept all presents with the eager hands of a small child.  Here is my birthday wish list for this year….

After not wearing earrings for 12 years!  I’ve recently had my old holes re-opened, and my ears are now adorned with gold hoops from &otherstories.  A new area of accessorising for me, so I’ve been searching Pinterest for some new beauties and stumbled across these from Anthropolgie.  Scalloped hoops in gold – yum! – edit: Now sold out!

The Future Kept store can do no wrong in my eyes.  And their latest range of textiles has my name all over it.  Big time heart eyes and all the wanties for this throw.

Still with The Future Kept – the first edition of Cedar Magazine has my name on it.  A curated collection of stories and photography inspired by nature.  In their debut issue, they talk to The Ethicurean, a restaurant with a sense of place at the heart of everything they do. Take to the road and visit the Cornish garden of one of Britain’s most iconic sculptors, Barbara Hepworth. Uncover the ancient gardens on the ragged shores of Sicily and explore the city of Bath, a city framed in green.  West country goodness. – edit: Now sold out!

My final item from The Future Kept is this beautiful grey linen scarf.  Made in Finland, this natural linen scarf with raw edges, is perfect around the shoulders as a light summer shawl or wrapped tighter as a scarf on cooler days. Tactile and beautiful, it goes with everything!

Summer scent is roses, so when I smelt this Moroccan Tea body mist from &otherstories recently, it was love! Rose with a delicate mint, so reminiscent of my trip to Marrakesh last year.  Perfect for misting over my face on a balmy day.

I love the simple lines of this concrete and wood planter from Westelm.  I can see a fig tree or an olive in it.  Hopefully I shall remember to water it too!

Finally, I would love a new cookbook and I’ve heard great things about Polpo… oh to be in Venice!

So there, a small selection of wished things… you can see more over on my Pinterest board too:
