Advent Door 1 | Farrow & Ball…

We are starting off with a bang!  Door number one reveals the collaboration with the iconic paint brand, Farrow & Ball.

I have used F&B paint throughout my home, and I absolutely adore their soft chalk colours.  Especially their new collaboration with the Natural History Museum.

With names like Broccoli Brown, Sap Green, Orange Coloured White are just a few of the colourful names in the Farrow & Ball range of colours.

The story of the Colour by Nature collection has been over two centuries in the making, beginning with the publication of Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours. A ground-breaking classification of colour in nature, Werner’s Nomenclature recorded in painstaking detail the exact hues and corresponding parts of animals, vegetables and minerals from across the natural world, becoming a treasured resource for scientists and artists alike.

  • This is wonderful timing as I am just thinking about painting a small dark room in my house to use as an office. So fingers crossed! Looking at the website I think I would go for Tallow which will brighten up the small space and add warmth.

  • I am a huge fan of Calluna, we moved into our new house in Feb and have so far painted every room in F&B except the master bedroom!! its a very dull magnolia :(

  • I’m looking for a warm grey for my bedroom and Dove Tale looks perfect. Although they are pricey, F@B paints are richly pigmented and give a lovely finish.

  • Cornforth white, the most stunning neutral shade that changes with the light & weather! Perfect for a calm sitting room

  • I love Down Pipe, it’s a fabulous blue grey, perfect for one wall in my living room.

  • All White – I’d paint our living room as it’s desperate for a coat of paint and we live in rented accommodation so can’t use anything bold or gorgeous on the walls but I still want to live in a nice place, hence painting it. I’ve shared in my stories (@thetalesofgem) x

  • I love Mizzle. Living in beautiful atmospheric Pembrokeshire it blends with the landscape merging seamlessly.
