High Five Alert! You may remember my post earlier in the month, on my goals for 2018? One of those goals was to stop biting my nails. Well ta dah! I’ve only done it. It’s been just three weeks and I’m super proud of myself. To mark two weeks of nail growth I had a manicure, to encourage me to continue my ‘non-biting’ journey. Dark green OPI gel called ‘stay off the lawn‘. I absolutely love the colour. So cool. What
Sitting down to a coffee in the morning is one of my most favourite simple pleasures and we all can relate to. The whole ritual around it is so satisfying; from choosing your favourite mug, the coffee style (black, with milk or plant based milk), in whatever method you choose to make it, it is something we all look forward to every single day. But, how many of us actually think about what goes into making our morning cup of
January is my month of self care. A down time to relax, eat healthily and nourish body, mind and spirit. I’ve always been drawn to the spiritual side of self care, I suppose growing up close to Glastonbury rubs off on an impressionable young girl. The power of crystals though is relatively new to me, although I have collected them throughout my life, I’ve not really considered how that can help with our moods and clarity.
Sisterhood is back for 2018, kicking off with a winter floral & food event in London. We are delighted to be teaming up with the fantastic Houzz as they open their week long pop up house. Beat those January blues by spending a day in central London, learning about flower arranging and eating delicious food in a beautiful building. Tickets went on sale last night, and already we are delighted by the response.
Before I get in to this post, I want to say this isn’t a post about how this year I’m going transform myself into a fit svelte being, have masses of money, quit biting my nails and travel to all those bucket list places. No.
This coming summer it will be Sisterhood’s 3rd birthday. Sisterhood started out as a dream to bring like-minded women together, to create, support and nourish each other…. my personal dream of connection has now grown. In these past three years, Sisterhood has held four retreats and one supper, with countless creative workshops, mindful talks and experiences and a bringing together of over 200 women. Sisterhood has grown beyond that seedling of a dream in late 2014… into a beautiful tree.
The weekend before Christmas we travelled southwards to St Ives, Cornwall… for some fresh air and enjoy St Ives in winter. I personally prefer Cornwall in winter, the beaches are empty, windswept and wild. Walks across the headland followed by good food in a local pub by the fire, makes Cornwall the best place to escape the mayhem of the Christmas season.
Finally! We have found time to go and choose our Christmas tree. One of my favourite rituals of the year, selecting our tree from the fields and then chopping it down. I know I posted about an artificial tree a few weeks ago, but I really missed the smell of a real one, so I passed that tree onto my in laws as a gift, and we went back to our usual Christmas tradition. Gladly…
