It’s been a full on week. A weekend full of family visits, 40th Birthday celebrations. Then travelling Eastward to Hertfordshire to my dear Nana’s funeral. Then home to celebrate Charlie’s 10th birthday. Emotions of extremes. Sobbing openly in the church during my nana’s service, then talking about her life, childhood and memories with my cousins and family. Both traumatic and uplifting at the same time. Bittersweet. Right this moment, I want to be here, smelling this beautiful bloom. Here and now… Just lately I am drawn to moody, ethereal images. Floral blooms, light and shade, and leafy plants. I long for warm summer evenings, walking around at twilight with the heady scent of roses in the air.
Green! In every sense of the word. My kind of place. After spending a week in a beautiful volcanic environment, I have been craving lush green leaves. Just look at these beautiful plants, it looks like the photo has been taken in South America or the Med region. That cactus! This image makes me very happy indeed!
