Hi there! This weeks favourite image belongs to c_colli. Christina always produces stunning imagery on her instagram account, each week I am wowed by here flare and creativity. She is a still life stylist and photography, so she should be good at it, shouldn’t she? :)
It’s been a while since I’ve shared my daily skin care routine, so I thought I’d give a little update. Considering it’s the depths of winter and lack of sunshine and central heating usually ravages my skin, leaving it dry and grey looking. Surprisingly, this January my skin has been looking fantastic. So what have I been doing? Well I regularly use vitamin c to brighten my skin and nourish it with oil. So if you are interested in knowing
High Five Alert! You may remember my post earlier in the month, on my goals for 2018? One of those goals was to stop biting my nails. Well ta dah! I’ve only done it. It’s been just three weeks and I’m super proud of myself. To mark two weeks of nail growth I had a manicure, to encourage me to continue my ‘non-biting’ journey. Dark green OPI gel called ‘stay off the lawn‘. I absolutely love the colour. So cool. What
Sitting down to a coffee in the morning is one of my most favourite simple pleasures and we all can relate to. The whole ritual around it is so satisfying; from choosing your favourite mug, the coffee style (black, with milk or plant based milk), in whatever method you choose to make it, it is something we all look forward to every single day. The weekend before Christmas we travelled southwards to St Ives, Cornwall… for some fresh air and enjoy St Ives in winter. I personally prefer Cornwall in winter, the beaches are empty, windswept and wild. But I’m not going to sweat it, my boys have lots of great things lined up in the next month, so not having a ‘handmade’ advent calendar isn’t going to be a disaster. In fact, letting that pressure off myself has made me feel so much better. Honestly, as a woman and a mother we have enough bloody guilt
I’ve thought about writing this post for the past couple of months now, wondering if you wanted to know about my personal struggle with my hormones. I know many of my readers are nowhere near this point in their lives, but many of you are, so I hope to help with this post. Here goes. The Menopause, for some reason, is still an unspoken word. A ‘thing’ that women go through hidden struggling in silence. Although I am still a
Tomorrow officially marks the Autumn Equinox, the first day of Autumn, hurrah! I adore autumn, the light, the colours, the misty mornings. I find in Summer I can’t think, I become anxious that I should be ‘out there’ soaking up the sun… when in reality summer is more about working around the school holidays and then child minding. But hey….. that’s another story. Autumn, for me, is all about planning, writing down intentions, preparing the home and yourself for winter.
