Garden makeover | With Wyevale Garden Centre…

Hasn’t the weather been glorious?!  My little urban courtyard garden has been a sunny oasis of calm for me just lately.  I’ve spent many an hour sitting out there, working.  Our space is tiny.  With enough room for a few pots, the washing line and a small round table and a couple of chairs.  That’s it.  Not much room for a space dedicated for lounging.  I needed a place to read, to sit and listen the city outside the walls of

Travel | La Cannonerie, Sisterhood recce…

A few weeks ago I headed to central France with team Sisterhood Camp, Cathy Jolliff and Gemma of The Quiet Heart, to do a little recce ahead of our retreat in September. In my head we were going to check out the facilities (which we did), source some great day trips for the guests and come away with a clear plan. We did all that.  But what I hadn’t expected was to fall in love with this enchanting place.

Sisterhood | Building a community…

I often get asked why I started Sisterhood Camp.  Where did my inspiration come from?  Well to be honest it was started with an innocent need to connect with like minded women.  To bring together all those creative women I had ‘met’ over the internet.  A camp in North Devon – a chance for us to switch off from work. The majority of women I knew were in the blogging / artistic community who I had met through blogging and

Simple Living | Spring cleaning – what to use…

Today was glorious, sunshine streaming in through the windows I bathed myself as I sat at the table working.  But sunshine also highlights my lack of cleaning, I am not a good house keeper, in fact I am rather shoddy at it. I much prefer to be working or playing than cleaning.  I know I am not alone! I have white walls throughout the house. White walls with dirty hand prints all over. Door trims with sticky marks.  The stair

Sisterhood | It’s all been a bit quiet, but Hi there!…

Firstly, Hi!  How are you?  Apologies for lack of posts over here on Littlegreenshed – I seemed to have neglected this space for a few weeks. But you know, I normally write here at least 4 times a week – so what’s up?  What is going on with me? Well, I’ve been busy working on my other project, SISTERHOOD.  Dan and I busy building a new website, and community.  There are four upcoming events, including a 4 day retreat in

Simple Living | Streamlining the kitchen…

I’ve been so bloomin head down in work at the moment that my home has fast become a dumping ground of ‘stuff’.  Especially our kitchen.  Just dumped – never actually put away or given a home. Our teeny tiny kitchen has very little cupboards or work space.  A narrow ‘galley’ style kitchen which is open plan to the dining room, and can be seen as soon as you walk in through the front door.  Yes even the postman can see the

Beauty | My skin care routine – updated…

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my daily skin care routine, so I thought I’d give a little update.  Considering it’s the depths of winter and lack of sunshine and central heating usually ravages my skin, leaving it dry and grey looking.  Surprisingly, this January my skin has been looking fantastic. So what have I been doing?  Well I regularly use vitamin c to brighten my skin and nourish it with oil.  So if you are interested in knowing
