Gosh, forgive me! I am so behind in posting about our time at the Good Life Experience back in September, but finally I have found some time. Here it is. Well, what a weekend that was. Full of friends, wild children and great fun. This was the second year of the festival and it has grown in size, but still maintained its friendly, down to earth vibe.
We were invited to the festival by Pedlars, along with some of the other SISTERHOOD, to camp out and enjoy the experience. We managed to find a corner of the camping field to have our tents in a circle. I had some serious bell tent envy going on – perhaps I need to treat myself to one for next year!
Before the festival, Blacks got in touch to see if Dan and I would like to try out some of their new Sprayway collaboration. Knowing I was worried about the cold camping in September, they kindly gave us some warm kit, sleeping bags, thermals and thick air beds. From the Sprayway collection I chose a cosy Aspen fleece, which to be honest was the best thing ever. I slept in it, and woke to find Rufus snuggled in, saying I was like a big bear.
Dan tried out the Arete waterproof jacket in green. Light weight, taped seams, waterproof and stylish. He said it was the best waterproof he’s ever had. Thanks to Blacks the scary thought of camping in Autumn was diminished as we were all super warm, cared for.
The festival was a winner. The boys tried whittling with Luke Hope, axe throwing, watched a butchery master class, played on the fairground for days and thoroughly went feral with all of the other kids there.
I love seeing all of the SISTERS again. Dan said I couldn’t go five paces without having to stop and chat to someone! It was the best.
Thank you to the Good Life Experience for such a brilliant family festival and to Blacks for helping us to stay dry and cosy. A perfect pairing.
