Plants are the new black – is that a thing? Oh yes I do believe it is! Everywhere you look nowadays on Instagram especially there is botanical inspiration galore. From new hashtags popping up to boutique shops selling cacti.
Back in 2012 I launched my hashtag project #natureinthehome – bringing together a love of plants and natural objects paired with interior styling. Since then, I have seen plants used in homes more and more – that they are now becoming a norm within styling circles. I’m not saying I started it, no! more of an observation, and one that I am welcoming with open arms.
Plants are become a worldwide obsession with beautiful boutique plant shops popping up. One in particular is London based Geo Fleur. Sophie, the brains behind the brand, describes herself as a ‘plant stylist’ and provides event styling, plant hire service, workshops and of course their brilliant plant subscription service.
As a plant fanatic, I find all of this fascinating. Especially the plant subscription service, which I am going to sign up for next month. Sophie writes:
“Plant Post Club is a plant subscription service brought to you by geo-fleur.
Subscribers receive a monthly surprise exclusive package of plants or plant related accessories.
Plant subscriptions created in geo-fleur’s East London studio.
A plant subscription means you will never have to worry about a last minute birthday present again, it also makes for a thoughtful gift for any plant lover, or for those who are a little tricky to buy for.”
As I can’t make it down to East London very often, the plant subscription is my best option. Oh look at those beauties!
